Our Process
-
After submitting your project, we’ll request that you send additional information regarding your project; photos, plans, etc.
-
If we are a good fit for your project, we will schedule a virtual consultation to discuss your project, budget, and timeline.
-
Following our virtual consultant, we will start most project with a paid Condition Assessment, which allows us to understand the building, its conditions, and needs. It is the basis for our Pre-Construction Agreement.
-
Most problems found in construction can be solved in the design stage - we plan thoroughly so construction runs cleanly by providing the following, as needed, based on your project;
- Design
- Construction Documents
- Project Plannings
- Clear Scope of Work
- Pre-Bid Meeting with Trade Partners
- Selections Management
- Regulatory Approvals such as Certificate of Appropriateness, Permitting, etc. -
We build to last. Combining traditional methods with modern building science, we restore the historic character, address the building failures, and thoughtful complete updates - so the building stands for another hundred years.
We complete Preservation, Restoration, Rehabilitation, & Reconstruction projects. -
After the construction project ends, your historic structure still needs maintenance. We follow Bob Yapp’s About Your House and Preservation Brief 47: Maintaining the Exterior of Small and Medium Size Historic Buildings for our annual maintenance recommendations.
